Photos you should submit Photos you should submit 1. Current events: WeSay is a citizen photojournalism site. In the world of citizen journalism, news can quickly become old news. Try to submit photos of current or recent events.

2. News: Fires, police scenes, storms, political rallies, sporting events, celebrities, etc.

3. Photojournalism: Mimic what you see in the newspapers. Document the moments in life happening around you.

4. Unaltered: Photos that have not been electronically changed. (Minor corrections to color, sharpness, etc. are okay.)

5. Your best photos: Don't just send us anything. Edit your photos and submit the best 5-10 photos from each shoot. WeSay is not a photo storage site.

Photos you should not submit Photos you should notsubmit 1. Digitally altered: Do not remove, duplicate, fake or superimpose anything in photos you submit. (Minor corrections to color, sharpness, etc. are okay.)

2. Photos you did not take: Do not submit downloaded, scanned or stolen images.

3. Date stamps, water markings, photo borders: We will remove photos with digitally added words, letters, logos, numbers, borders or anything else. Crop it out if you have to.

4. Flowers, trees, sky: Sure they can be pretty, but if you've seen one, you've seen them all.

5. Still life: An apple, a leaf, a shoe, whatever. This just isn't our thing.

6. Self portraits, family members, friends: This includes pretty much anyone staring directly at your camera, particularly you or any part of yourself.

7. Snapshots of your kids, pets: Cute as they might be, these images simply don't fit our site's general theme and overall mission. Again, WeSay is a news photo site.

8. Un-rotated images: Please don't make us tilt our heads to see the photo you submitted.

9. Nudity or vulgarity: You know who you are. Don't send it to us.
