Rider Matthew McCarron is thrown from his horse during the fifth race in the Palm Beach Steeplechase on Sat., Nov. 29. 2008. McCarron was taken to the hospital by Palm Beach Fire and Rescue personnel. Subsequent photos show McCarron curling up to avoid other horses in the race.
