On a winding street, in the mountains of Julian, California many accidents occur for motorists who are not accustomed to the sharp turns and dark roads of Julian. This accident, however, occurred at 12:30 p.m., slowing down traffic for four hours. Paramedics attempted to revive the 28-year-old driver, a U.S. Marine named Carl Davis. After many failed attempts he was pronounced dead at the scene, and his family was called. Police quickly blocked the scene and diverted traffic away.
